1st WOMCA workshop took place in Albacete on the 10th of November 2017, introducing the partners and mentors with the methodology. The workshop involved different profiles (women entrepreneurs, mentors, and consultants) and proved to be very useful and of interest to the participants, which provides important feedback to continue with the IO1 “Breaking the fears of being a youth women enterpreneur”.

The workshop started making a journey through the different components to take into consideration when mentoring. Three main tools were used during the training. Lego Serious Play, Business Model You and Hero’s Journey. The training has identified two kinds of mentoring, individual and teams.

Your superpower.
After the journey through the different mentoring components, we implemented LEGO Serious Play through a series dynamics. In the video below Which is your superpower for mentoring? The idea was to identify “persona” skills and strengths while working in teams.

After knowing each superpower we asked them to self-organize in teams. Self-autonomy self-organize is an Agile principle.
Then we asked them to design an innovative business idea. Each participant created their own business idea represented with a Lego model. I played the role of the investor.
After they build their models I informed them we have no money for all projects. We encourage them to become more creative and merge the best concept of each idea into one new single business model. They have entered into the negotiation process using their superpowers. The best concept of each idea should contribute to developing innovation.

Business Model idea Pitch.
Once this happens they Pitch their model to get feedback from the other participants.

The next step was to use the Business Model You template to map the 10 different blocks in order to provide a general idea of the prototyping process.

Defining the Business Model to be prototyped.
