The WOMCA project training activity for mentors-entrepreneurs took place in December 10-14th 2018. The participants were warmly welcomed by the host organization Frauen im Brennpunkt in Innsbruck, Austria. 24 young women-entrepreneurs, willing to become mentors from the Netherlands, Spain, Austria and Lithuania joined the course.
The first day was dedicated to motivation enhancement and coping with fears while dealing with own business. Second day was devoted to creativity in business and determination of the most important skills to run a business. Learners were super-original in creating business ideas and learning to advertise new products and services. The participants created the original posters and pictures – those were the outcomes of the day. During the third day mentors-entrepreneurs had a wonderful opportunity to meet two supervisors of the Umbrella organization for children Daycare Centers. Participants were shown the ways of sustaining own organization and had a fruitful discussion about different issues. During the fourth day the participants had a wonderful time practicing the LEGO method. They had to write short stories about 4 most important components of their lives: work, social contact, purpose and health. Reflect on your own life was really great and difficult at the same time! Then learners had to construct their feelings and experience with LEGO bricks. It was the most exciting task ever! Later they had warm conversations in small groups, interpreting their constructions and sharing their thoughts. On the fifth day the participants were familiarized with stakeholders’ map making and discovering new opportunities for business.
It was a fantastic experience, wonderful people and incredible mountains! Now we have so many new ideas and future plans to cooperate! Thank you, WOMCA!
